The re-hook

Positions the video as part of a larger, ongoing series to build trust and keep viewers curious about future installments.

Hot take

Claude can fully replace Duolingo, flashcard apps, or an expensive language tutor.

Why it works

The video wins by directly comparing Claude to beloved, mainstream tools (Duolingo, tutors), immediately signaling a big upside and stirring curiosity. It follows a clean problem-solution arc: call out why Duolingo alone doesn’t make you fluent, then offer a 5‑minute Claude setup as the fix. Concrete roleplay scenarios (barista, handwriting feedback, custom stories) make the AI use cases vivid and personal, while the 'day 16 of 100 days' frame plus the 'comment skill' CTA drive binge-watching and comment volume for reach.

Swipe-file takeaways

  • Anchor your tool against a popular incumbent ("better than Duolingo or any tutor") to instantly communicate value.
  • Frame your content as part of a numbered challenge or series to build habit and authority ("day 16 of 100 days").
  • Describe 2–3 ultra-specific use cases (roleplay barista, analyze handwriting, custom stories) instead of vague claims about "personalization."
  • Emphasize low-friction setup with a clear time promise ("only takes five minutes") to reduce adoption resistance.
  • Use a simple keyword comment CTA ("comment skill") to distribute templates/resources and boost engagement.

Full script

What if I told you that Claude can help you become fluent in any new language better than Duolingo or any tutor? This is day 16 of 100 days of free Claude skills and I call this one the language tutor. So Duolingo is really good at teaching you new words but in my experience it's pretty difficult to become fluent just by using Duolingo. So I built a Claude project called language tutor that can fully replace Duolingo flashcard apps or an expensive tutor and the setup only takes five minutes. You just tell Claude the language you want to learn, your current level, and the types of conversations that you really want to be able to have in that language. Then you can do things that Duolingo literally can't. For example, you can tell Claude to roleplay as a barista and then you can go back and forth ordering coffee together. It'll give you corrections as you go. Or you can practice writing in that language and send Claude photos of your writing. Claude will break down any mistakes you made word for word. Or you could also ask it to write you a short story using all the vocab you've already learned. It continuously adapts to you and your learning level. If you just comment skill down below, I'll send you the setup right now.
